Radiology Technician (Licensed) - Full-time

Location: Conway, AR

Medical Technician: Radiology Technician Certified

If you’re bringing to the table:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Fantastic critical thinking skills
  • Patience, sound judgment, and discretion in dealing with confidential information
  • Top-notch organizational and multitasking skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, regulations, and medical office procedures
  • Functional grasp of the English language for reading and writing using proper grammar
  • Experience with basic computer data entry

Working with PrimeCARE, you will get to:

  • Express critical thinking skills by asking appropriate questions and thoroughly collecting patient information (Constitutional, HPI, Medical History, Social History, etc.)
  • Perform rapid testing (pregnancy, strep, flu, H pylori, HbA1c, urinalysis, rapid drug screens, and any others) accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assist with blood draws, and other procedures as required, including holding patients still during procedures
  • Use appropriate forms and documentation for all procedures and reporting protocols
  • Chart appropriately and efficiently in patient’s progress note
  • Use eCW templates effectively to help ensure accuracy and billing collections
  • Maintain training on drug screens and proper collection for lab processing
  • Manage time by taking personal initiative to complete necessary tasks and keep the provider organized and prepared to see patient(s) in each room
  • Display personal drive for accuracy and initiate clinical activities in order to ensure care processes are completed in the best manner for the patient
  • Perform other patient care activities as requested by provider

Reporting structure:

  • Report to Team Leader and Clinic Manager
  • We expect you to work with your teammates to help each other comply with policies and procedures.

Work schedule and conditions, travel required, physical requirements

  • Working hours/schedule requirements
      • Clinic hours: 8-8M-F, 10a-5p Sat, 1p-5p Sun
      • FT: Work a minimum of 30 hours per week, up to 40 or above, depending on clinic needs
      • PT: Work up to 30 hours per week, occasionally more, depending on clinic needs
      • Expect to work some evenings every week (up to three 12-hour shifts *unless otherwise arranged*) and approximately two (2) full weekends per month
      • Attendance will be required at staff meetings on a monthly basis outside of regular working hours (generally, early morning)
  • Travel: Travel may occasionally be required to attend trainings, meetings, or to cover for teammates at other locations in Central Arkansas (generally, at other PrimeCARE clinic locations)
  • Physical requirements & General working conditions
    • Moderate to high risk of occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens and other potentially infectious materials
    • Employees will rarely be asked to lift anything above 25lbs, but may occasionally be required to team-lift a patient or help restrain a patient in the course of care
    • High-traffic work area, high level of patient and employee interaction
    • Moderate noise level from electronic/machine, telephone, and vocal noise
    • Employee will be required to speak to and listen to others
    • Employees will be required to process, remember, and comply with changes in processes and protocols with or without advance warning
    • Majority of time may be spent standing and walking, using hands and fingers to perform job tasks; some reaching is required; many job functions require repetitive motion
    • Vision abilities required to perform this job include close vision and peripheral vision
